Membership at Trans-action has a number of levels.
This is done so we keep the forum as safe as possible and remove negativity as soon as possible..
So just browsing the site you do not get the full effect.
If you do not create an account online and then verify your email address you will be in 'Guest' mode.. this allows you to read some of the forum and topics but does not allow you to write or respond to anything, it also does not allow you to see the chat. Even though you are in guest mode we still track your IP and use cookies as per our guidelines laid out in the Announcements topic.
When you create an account you are required to verify your email.. We send you a secure password that you need to change once you log in.
You will then be granted "Newbie" status. This now allows you to respond to posts on the forum, your first post should be in introductions to tell us all a bit about yourself. Then you can see and respond in most places.
You will only be able to see the chat, not post anything there. and Personal messaging (PM) is not permitted either. You will not be able to upload an avatar or post links to other sites either.
After 15 posts.. you get upgraded to full member. If you spam my server to get to 15 posts, I will either cut you back to newbie or ban you.. 15 posts takes a couple of days normally.. so be patient. When you get full member status you can use the chat and PM other members and you will see all of the forum topics except the over 21 area.
To get to the over 21 area you need 200 posts and will have to verify your age with a moderator, this will involve sending us some ID. It is not essentially part of the site that you use the 21+ area and may be removed at short notice.
Sunscriptions and donations are not required and by donating or subscribing you confer no additional rights or access. Donations and subs keep the site running and are very welcome. As a way of thanks, each donator or subscriber will get a badge applied to their profile to show they have helped (If you do not want this, PM a mod and they will take it off).
Significant Others.. are also notified on the site by a badge. Please tell a moderator that you are a significant other of a transgender person and the badge will be applied for you.
