Welcome to the news articles forum! This is the place to post news articles from external sources - please do not post news stories in other areas of the forum, even if they relate to another area such as politics.

To keep this forum organized and respectful of copyright laws, please follow these guidelines:

1. All external news stories are posted in this one section only

2. Make the subject line of your post the headline of the news story.

3. Include a link to the article as the first thing in your post.

4. Include a small snippet of the article, no more than 10% of the article, to give an idea of what the story is about.

5. If there is a named author and a publishing date, please include these under the snippet, along with the news source (e.g. New York Times).

6. Please refrain from sharing personal thoughts or commentary on the news story in your initial post. You may share your thoughts in posts underneath the linked article.

7. Please do not create duplicate threads - if the same story is posted from another source, add another post under the original one, following the same guidelines.

8. If a story is updated, please add another post under the original one, following the same guidelines as above.

9. If a news article mentions trauma or could be triggering to someone, please spell this out before the link in your post. Additionally, please do not link to anything that is not suitable for a work environment. Let's keep the site PG (R-rated for those of you in the USA).
